Assist with on-site installation, repair, testing, and maintenance of electron microscopy systems , including: Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM) Transmission Electron Microscopes (TEM) Focused Ion Beam (FIB) systems
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure systems operate according to specifications
Troubleshoot and diagnose system issues with guidance from senior engineers when required
Support senior field service engineers with complex repairs and system calibrations
Develop positive working relationships with customers, system users, and internal teams
Travel to customer sites, sometimes on short notice, to provide technical support and service
Document service activities and submit detailed field service reports
Provide basic customer training on system operation and routine maintenance
Follow safety procedures and quality standards when servicing equipment in laboratory environments
Provide feedback to product quality and engineering teams regarding system performance
Maintain accurate service documentation and support updates to technical service materials

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical field or 4+ years of equivalent education and experience in electronic systems
1+ years of hands-on technical experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, or calibrating sophisticated analytical equipment such as SEM, TEM, FIB, or similar systems
Experience working with ultra-high vacuum (UHV) systems and high voltage equipment preferred.
Valid driver’s license required
Ability to travel up to 75% within assigned territory
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in laboratory environments
Proficiency in English required, additional languages beneficial
