About the role
- Repair, install, and maintain a variety of laboratory equipment products including incubators, centrifuges, cold storage (refrigerators and freezers), and other equipment as needed.
- Schedules and completes detailed preventative maintenance and corrective service to ensure peak uptime of customer equipment.
- Provide onsite service training to Biomedical Engineering Technicians (BMET) or advanced operators.
- Submit expenses and manage trunk stock inventory in a timely and accurate manner.
- Document daily service actions through the company work order database.
- Maintains courteous and knowledgeable communication with customers to ensure alignment of all aspects of the service events (status, cost, scheduling, etc.).
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in Electronics or Engineering field preferred
- EPA Certification preferred
- 1+ year of experience in field service, depot repair, manufacturing facilities or equivalent, servicing medical devices or laboratory equipment, etc.
- Strong electronic/electrical and mechanical background preferred
- Refrigeration experience a plus
- Experience working with basic test equipment such as DMM, tachometer, temperature devices, etc.
- Hands-on Refrigeration experience preferred
