Senior QA Engineer – Automation

DevOps Engineer

• Support and improve the engineering platform and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipeline containing technologies such as Azure PaaS, Kubernetes/Docker containers, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Octopus, and more.
• Identify and champion opportunities to automate workloads such as scripting repetitive tasks, moving legacy workloads into Kubernetes, effectively utilizing AI, writing AI agents, deploying infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible and writing excellent documentation.
• Takes a GitOps and Infrastructure as Code first approach to solving technological problems, to encourage repeatability and testability of changes.
• Discovers and architects automated solutions to manual or inefficient processes and procedures.
• Provides escalated technical guidance and support to other technology teams throughout the organization.
• Improve site reliability through the implementation of detailed telemetry, based on leading and trailing indicators.

Business Intelligence Developer

• Design, develop, publish, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting and analytics requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain data models, including performing data transformations and optimizing queries for performance.
• Connect and integrate Power BI with various data sources, including SQL databases, Excel files, and cloud-based data services.

Backend Engineer

• Responsible for implementing, and maintaining critical database systems (PostgreSQL) which support a growing 24x7 SAAS platform
• Supports the ongoing database ETL, warehousing, reporting and analytical needs of the organization
• Ensures the database design and operations support the availability, scalability, and recoverability needs of the business
• Performs tuning and capacity management to ensure the database meets the performance needs of the business
• Guides and provides direction to developers and engineers on database development, design principles, query optimization, and index management in a fully automated deployment pipeline

PostgreSQL Database Engineer

• Responsible to design, implement, and maintain high-availability, high throughput, data and compute intensive, critical database systems running PostgreSQL which supports a growing 24x7 SaaS platform.
• Define and improve database service reliability through monitoring/alerting, SLO-oriented metrics, and operational readiness.
• Participate in and help drive incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident corrective actions for database-related production events.
• Partner with other technical leaders to ensure all newly introduced systems are supportable and maintainable by both development and operations.
• Provides escalated technical guidance and support to other technology teams throughout the organization
• Provides on-call coverage for production support and other duties as required.
• Accountable for complying with HIPAA security policies within the database platform
• Ensure all solutions and operational activities adhere to the security and operating policies established by the organization
• Own and continuously improve our Datadog database observability by building actionable dashboards, alerts, and service-level views using an observability stack (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, or equivalent). Familiarity with PGAnalyze or Percona a plus.
• Automate system maintenance tasks using Bash, Powershell, Python, or Ansible. Manage infrastructure as code (IaC) writing Ansible playbooks. Some exposure to Terraform a plus.
• Experience with writing & designing ETL pipelines using Python a plus
• Understand and maintain various PostgreSQL ecosystem components like: PgBouncer, PgBackrest, HaProxy, RepMgr a plus

Senior Database Site Reliability Engineer

Engineering Manager

• Serve as Scrum Master for multiple engineering teams, facilitating sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensure Scrum ceremonies are productive, time-boxed, and outcome-driven.
• Promote Agile best practices and continuous improvement across teams.
• Identify and remove impediments that hinder team progress.
