Assist in tracking performance metrics and video analytics on ESPN platforms and enhance distribution across channels
Produce, create, and edit videos for ESPN-branded social channels and YouTube
Write headlines, tagging, and manage overall style and voice for video content
Evaluate stories and videos for accuracy, fairness, and social/viral potential
Collaborate with multiple ESPN units and subject matter experts to identify and develop up-to-the-minute video content optimized for platforms
Participate in creation and distribution of content to activate new audiences and expand reach and engagement
Maintain proficiency in latest trends and best practices for video distribution on YouTube channels and ESPN platforms
Analyze usage and performance metrics to inform content enhancements and improvements
Requirements
1-2 years working in a media environment, creating and managing content and publishing to live streams
Strong base of current sports knowledge, including teams, players and storylines and appreciation of news and story play
Excellent headline writing skills and an understanding of optimal tactics for content distribution
Ability to create and tell stories in a fast-paced, highly competitive environment and juggle multiple varied tasks during a typical work day
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience working with a variety of digital content management systems (preferred)
Understands and follows the latest social media trends (preferred)
Non-linear editing skills (Quantel, Final Cut, Avid, Premiere, After Effects, WSC, etc.) (preferred)
Experience in editing content specific to the needs of multiple social media platforms (preferred)
Good appreciation of pop culture and how sports fans consume mobile content (preferred)
Junior or Senior year preferred; Major or previous coursework in Communications, Journalism, Sports Media or related major preferred
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
Remote position requires a working, reliable internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace
Fully available Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
