About the role

  • Oversee all technical aspects of Disney’s partnerships with distributors, collaborating closely with business development teams to onboard partners and promote product offerings
  • Manage and cultivate technical relationships with Disney’s internal teams and external partners as primary liaison and main point of contact
  • Lead integration efforts, conduct technical due diligence on new platforms, and shape future roadmaps
  • Assist the TAM Director in managing daily relationships with third-party partners and ensuring successful delivery of integrations and platform deployments
  • Cultivate strong, positive relationships with global distribution partners to identify capabilities, features, and requirements and provide recommendations to internal teams
  • Advocate for Disney’s DTC product and technology interests, educating partners and influencing their strategies
  • Identify technical requirements and oversee integrations with key third-party distribution partners to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Collaborate with internal product and technology teams to identify challenges, blockers, and issues requiring resolution with third-party partners
  • Work closely with legal, sales, and business development teams to facilitate distribution deals that advance Disney’s product, technology, and strategic goals
  • Support regional TV (MVPD) and operator partners, including telco, broadband, and mobile service providers; collaborate across multiple time zones and travel occasionally

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical account management or product management role
  • Extensive experience leading complex end-to-end technology integrations for digital media and streaming video solutions, including live and VOD platforms
  • In-depth knowledge of live and VOD streaming technology for OTT and Direct-to-Consumer services
  • Strong understanding of streaming media consumer electronics (CE) devices and platforms such as web, mobile, connected devices, living room devices, and set-top boxes
  • Proven track record working with third-party CE partners, middleware providers, SoC manufacturers, OEMs, and platform distribution partners
  • Experience with video streaming technologies, including playback, encoding, packaging, DRM, CDN, and related systems
  • Exceptional customer relationship and account management skills, with the ability to influence and advocate for Disney’s product and technology initiatives
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Skilled in identifying core business objectives and technical needs to drive successful launches and ongoing support
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally if required
  • Preferred: Experience working with or alongside regional or local MVPDs, Pay TV/IPTV providers, or telecom companies
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs, etc.) is a plus
  • Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent years of technical experience in product management, media, video streaming, or a related field
