About the role
- Advance measurement and understanding of user ads engagement across Disney+ and Hulu
- Design and scale core datasets that underpin analytics initiatives
- Serve as subject matter expert for Ads Engagement
- Design and implement robust engagement data models and quality monitoring processes
- Partner with business stakeholders and other data teams to define metrics and improve platform capabilities
- Support reporting for exceptionally large-scale data
- Design and build performant ETLs, intermediary tables, and dashboards in Tableau and Looker
- Lead creation of Single Source of Truth for metrics
- Outline objectives, timelines, and coordinate work across multiple contributors
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, MIS, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related degree
- 5+ years of analytical experience, ideally specifically in analytics and/or engineering
- Mastery of SQL
- Some experience with SparkSQL, Hive, etc. a plus
- Experience developing and maintaining optimized tables for reporting through ETLs
- Project and resource management experience
- Experience with Python/R or other statistical programming languages
- Experience with Airflow and Databricks or similar tools
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal presentation skills, experience presenting to diverse audiences
- Expertise developing data exploration and data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, Chartio, etc.
