About the role
- Manage the People inbox and take a proactive approach in providing support and advice on People policies and procedures. Sign-posting to the relevant people team member where necessary.
- Pre-onboarding of new starters, including drafting offer paperwork, employer references, right to work checks and, where necessary, criminal record checks.
- Onboarding new starters with People induction, issuing necessary policies and forms, and ensuring mandatory training has been completed.
- Administration of People Services processes such as coordinating occupational health assessments, family leave, staff mobility and leavers.
- Drafting and issuing employee-related paperwork, including employment contracts, contract change letters, family leave confirmation letters, references and end of probation letters.
- Maintenance of employee records and auditing in HRIS (SAP), SharePoint folders and Excel spreadsheets, ensuring all staff changes have been reflected.
- Provide People data reports on regular and had hoc basis.
- Maintaining staff handbooks, policies, procedures and templates, updating with amendments as and when required.
- Managing People Services information documentation, creating templates, guides, toolkits, checklists and keeping the People Services intranet up to date.
- Contribute to the continuous review of People Services operational delivery to ensure high-quality employee experience.
- Support People Services Manager with projects to streamline People Services processes
- Supporting People Business Partners with employee relations including drafting invitations and letters, minute taking and updating employee records.
- Support across Payroll and Benefits as and when required.
Requirements
- Experience within generalist people team focused role supporting and advising on HR matters across the employee lifecycle.
- Evidence of a passion for working with people and being inclusive in this approach.
- High level of integrity with the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential matters.
- Excellent communication skills and a high level of emotional intelligence.
- Good knowledge of MS-Office applications.
- Ability to build and manage relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- A hardworking, self-motivated, and proactive attitude, with a flexible and collaborative working approach.
- The ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, where people are at the core of everything you do.
