About the role

  • Report into the global Head of Fan Development (London) and the Managing Director – U.S.; work closely with global Digital Media team
  • Manage delivery of the Premier League’s content and product offerings in the U.S.
  • Day to day management of localised content and operated social media channels in the U.S., understanding cultural context and exploring new distribution opportunities
  • Day to day management of efforts to reach and acquire new fans to the PL Media estate in U.S., contributing to targets for Premier League O&O channels globally and locally
  • Oversee the developing creator programme in the U.S., ensuring best-in-class output aligned to brand and values
  • Build and strengthen relationships with social media platforms in the U.S. to benefit from new product releases and advancements
  • Support influencer and talent management with a fan-led approach to attract younger audiences
  • Scope and define additional localised content and collaboration opportunities with colleagues across teams
  • Coordinate monthly reporting for localised channels, ensuring clarity of objectives and KPIs
  • Support colleagues with analysis and education of the Premier League’s operated channel audience in the U.S. to shape strategies
  • Support development and delivery of the Premier League’s Future Fans strategy to engage younger audiences
  • Support on key market activations and on-ground content delivery with clubs, broadcast licensees and brand partners

Requirements

  • Significant, demonstratable work experience in the sports content and marketing landscape at platform, agency, rightsholder, brand or related role
  • Excellent experience creating, managing and delivering high-impact content in a variety of formats from short form to script-based storytelling in multiple formats
  • Experience managing creator programmes and understanding and appreciation of rights requirements across rightsholders, broadcasters and UGC
  • Excellent understanding of social media platforms, and their role in fan growth strategies
  • Strong creative eye and appreciation for quality execution with an ability to think outside the box
  • Experience working with insight, analytics and trends, including summarising reports
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to schedule and prioritise multiple work streams effectively
  • A motivated, creative and organised individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Collaborative and open-minded team player with the confidence to deliver fair, constructive feedback to agencies
  • Keen sports fan with a solid knowledge of the Premier League’s structure and context in the industry
