About the role

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across target sectors and clients
  • Build, manage and maintain a sales pipeline, including lead generation, outreach and opportunity tracking
  • Support the team with pitches, proposals and conversion of opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, referrers, partner agencies and collaborators
  • Monitor market trends, client needs and competitive activity to inform business development strategy
  • Develop and implement an integrated marketing strategy to increase our visibility across healthcare communications and the wider health sector
  • Manage our online presence, ensuring all messaging is consistent, clear and aligned with the Chemistry We Create proposition
  • Contribute to internal planning, processes and continuous improvement of business development approaches
  • Support the planning and delivery of networking or industry events where relevant to new business activity

Requirements

  • Experience in business development ideally within a healthcare agency environment
  • Strong commercial awareness with an interest in driving sustainable growth
  • Familiarity with the ABPI and other regulatory environments
  • Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content and presentations
  • Experience supporting or leading pitches, proposals and opportunity conversion
  • Familiarity with digital marketing channels such as websites, email and social media
  • Confidence working independently while collaborating closely with others
