About the role
- Lead the design and delivery of THG’s early careers and apprenticeship programmes.
- Develop sustainable talent pipelines through apprenticeships, internships, work experience and graduate opportunities aligned to workforce needs.
- Manage and develop the THG Academy programme, ensuring a high-quality experience for all participants.
- Work collaboratively with Recruitment and Learning & Development to attract and support early careers talent.
- Build strong partnerships with schools, colleges, universities and training providers, representing THG at careers fairs and outreach events.
- Manage the apprenticeship levy account, ensuring funding is used effectively.
- Provide mentoring, pastoral support and career guidance to programme participants.
- Monitor programme performance, analyse data and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage relationships with external training providers and ensure high-quality delivery.
Requirements
- Experience delivering apprenticeship or early careers programmes.
- Strong knowledge of apprenticeships and early careers pathways.
- Experience supporting learners or apprentices through mentoring, coaching or pastoral support.
- Experience working with internal stakeholders and external partners such as training providers or education providers.
- Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confidence using ICT systems and Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Teams and Outlook.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams.
- A passion for developing people and creating career opportunities.
Benefits
- Starting salary of £45,741 per annum
- 27 days holiday (rising to 32 over 5 years’ service) + bank holidays
- Hybrid working - you will manage your week by dividing your time between working in our offices.
- You'll be expected to join us in the office for two days each week, with at least one Tuesday spent at our BB1 Blackburn office to enhance teamwork and collaboration. While you can work from anywhere, a willingness to travel when needed is essential. Additionally, your presence will be required at assessment centres held across our office locations, including Blackburn, Halifax, and Wakefield, as well as for various events. - You will be working 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday (occasional evening or weekend working depending on business needs). Working arrangements are flexible in line with our Smart Working culture so that we deliver an excellent and accessible service for customers.
