About the role
- Partner with Kroger sales teams and Kroger by delivering actionable category and shopper insights
- Support the Hershey Salty Snack business, inclusive of SkinnyPop, Pirate’s Booty, Paqui, and Dots Pretzels
- Synthesize insights from multiple sources to identify opportunities
- Develop executable assortment and merchandising tactics
- Create concise selling stories to drive growth for category, retailer, and Hershey Salty Snacks
- Leverage syndicated, customer, and consumer data in Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, etc.
- Develop, analyze, and proactively communicate category and competitive performance to Kroger sales and commercial teams
- Be the internal Salty Snack category expert for Kroger
- Identify Best-In-Class distribution and shelving strategies for Salty Snacks
- Develop independent relationships with customer and key decision makers
- Work collaboratively with Category Insights and Category Management teams
- Partner with Salty Sales Analyst and Hershey CMG Category Management
Requirements
- Four-year undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Finance or related field required
- Strong knowledge of syndicated data, customer data and Category Management processes
- Robust experience with data mining and exposure to third party data including IRI or Nielsen, 84.51, Numerator, etc.
- Exceptional Excel skill set
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid PowerPoint skills to build high impact visual stories
- Exceptional planning, time/project management, communication and organizational skills
- Highly motivated, intellectually curious, and ability to adapt to fast paced and changing environments
- Preferred candidate will have 3-5 years CPG Category Management or Sales experience.
- Knowledge of Alteryx, PowerBI and/or Tableau
- Exposure to JDA space planning software
