About the role
- Investigate, reserve, assign and settle first party property losses
- Operate in the full file model and handle all claims end-to-end
- Select proper estimating resource to adjudicate claims and ensure vendor quality standards
- Handle claim files consistent with Claim quality standards and goals
- Negotiate with internal and external groups in challenging situations
- Make independent business decisions to move claims forward
- Assess exposure of assigned claims and set appropriate and timely file reserves
- Identify and manage subrogation, salvage and other recovery opportunities
- Identify fraud indicators and initiate investigation
- Utilize organization and communication skills to resolve assignments, manage claim deadlines, and manage vendors
- Develop technical and jurisdictional expertise, including knowledge of independent adjusters, contractors, vendors
- Demonstrate business acumen, verbal and numerical critical thinking, and clear written and verbal communication
Requirements
- Adjuster License required to be obtained prior to start of training January 19, 2026
- Must be available for multi-week training from January 19, 2026 - March 27, 2026
- Licensing prep time availability January 5 - January 16, 2026 (paid)
- College Degree strongly preferred
- Evidence of career growth
- Experience in Construction Industry preferred, not required
- Ability to handle complex and difficult negotiations with urgency
- Ability to handle competing priorities while maintaining quality and service
- Superior desk management skills
- Critical thinking skills inclusive of investigation, decision making and conflict resolution
