About the role
- Take inbound phone calls on warm leads (no cold calling) and pre-qualify and classify applicants
- Provide coverage consultation to small business owners and recommend insurance solutions
- Consult on small business lines including Business Owner's Policy (BOP), Workers Compensation, Commercial Auto, Professional Liability, and Bonds
- Partner with the Inside Sales Underwriting team on complex risks to write profitable business
- Prioritize and manage desk while delivering timely outcomes to customers
- Operate with a customer-focused approach and deliver excellent service
- Work as an effective team member in a high performing sales culture
- Participate in an 8-week training program starting January 2026; post-training typical schedule M-F with specified EST/CST/MST/PST times
Requirements
- Active commercial Property & Casualty (P&C) license required
- Candidates must be licensed to sell commercial/business insurance
- Must be eligible to hold a full Property & Casualty license in your resident state and 48 non-resident states (Hawaii/Alaska not included)
- 2+ years of recent Property & Casualty experience preferred
- Call center experience valued
- Strong sales acumen with the ability to negotiate and sell difficult messages
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Competitive nature and strong desire to win
- Demonstration of solid time, organizational, and desk management skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work training schedule (Start Jan 2026, 8-week program, M-F 9:30am-6:00pm EST)
