About the role
- Support data science partners to develop, implement, and continuously refine the auto class plan, ensuring alignment with profitability targets and growth objectives.
- Transform complex, multi-source data—including internal performance metrics, market trends, competitor analysis, and regulatory changes—into actionable insights and technical recommendations that inform product development and market strategy.
- Design and build robust, interactive dashboards and visualizations using cutting-edge tools (e.g., SQL, ThoughtSpot, Snowflake, and advanced Excel functions) to monitor auto product performance and highlight key opportunities for class plan optimization.
- Collaborate closely with actuarial, underwriting, IT, data science, and operations teams to develop and launch profitable auto products, ensuring technical accuracy and seamless integration with business processes.
- Lead technical deep-dives and cross-functional working sessions to diagnose product defects, assess emerging risks, and implement innovative solutions that drive sustainable product growth.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations and reports, translating complex data and model outputs into clear, strategic guidance for senior executives and stakeholders across varying levels of technical expertise.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert on personal lines insurance products, with a particular focus on auto class plan design, rating structures, and predictive analytics to support profitable market delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation by challenging existing methodologies, recommending enhancements, and partnering with State Product Management, Distribution Channels, Marketing, Claims, Legal, Compliance, and IT to ensure successful product launches and ongoing profitability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of prior relevant work experience, insurance experience preferred; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Possess a solid understanding of Personal Lines insurance products, coverages, and distribution channels, including both Direct and Agency models.

- Ability to gather, organize, and interpret data from multiple sources to support recommendations and actions.
- Develop clear and effective presentations and visuals to communicate findings and recommendations to colleagues and management.
- Support efforts to challenge existing processes and contribute ideas for improvement and innovation within the team.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint, for data analysis and presentation purposes.
- Strong Excel skills required; familiarity with SQL is a plus.
- Contribute as an active member of cross-functional teams, helping to coordinate tasks and deliver results.
