About the role
- Lead strategic engagement and policy development across The Crown Estate’s portfolios
- Shape strategy, build influence, and deliver national-level impact on sustainability, regeneration, marine and science & innovation agendas
- Develop unified sustainability narrative and support net zero and social impact goals (Sustainability Manager role)
- Oversee engagement strategies for a £1.5 billion science and innovation portfolio and build partnerships across government, industry and research (Science & Innovation role)
- Build strategic relationships across Whitehall, devolved administrations and local government; monitor policy developments and align marine strategy with national objectives (Government Affairs Manager, Marine role)
- Design and deliver corporate affairs strategy; unblock complex policy and stakeholder issues and mitigate reputational risk (Corporate Affairs Strategy Manager role)
- Lead external affairs strategies for marine programmes; act as primary point of contact for stakeholder engagement, identify risks and opportunities, manage reputational issues, and maximise positive outcomes (External Affairs Manager, Marine role)
- Collaborate with public affairs, policy managers, project teams and senior stakeholders to deliver strategic outcomes
- Provide strategic communications, stakeholder engagement and policy advice to the business
Requirements
- Strategic thinkers with strong government, public affairs or policy experience
- Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder landscapes
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Passion for delivering public value through sustainability, regeneration, or marine stewardship
- Experience working in or with government, industry, or civil society
