About the role

  • Develop and evolve customer growth strategies that align with business objectives and customer priorities.
  • Tailor national plans to the customer level, leveraging localized insights to maximize influence and impact.
  • Lead annual business planning, including quota setting, customer trade rate management, and sufficiency assessment over an 18-month horizon.
  • Drive the Connected Customer Planning (CCP) process to ensure strategic alignment across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain.
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure excellence in market execution and retailer engagement for new product launches and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead trade and promotional optimization, applying Net Revenue Management (NRM) principles to ensure efficient investment and profitability.
  • Track business performance, proactively identify risks and opportunities, and consult on customer inputs to the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process.
  • Represent the customer perspective on project teams to influence strategy, priorities, and resource allocation.
  • Coach, develop, and empower team members to act as business owners.
  • Manage staffing, capability building, and succession planning to strengthen organizational depth and engagement.
  • Equip teams with tools, insights, and processes to drive growth, eliminate waste, and elevate executional discipline.

Requirements

  • Experience and skill to switch between Category, Brand, and Customer facing audiences
  • Ability to engage senior business leaders, build credibility quickly, accommodate multiple priorities and develop compelling stories
  • Relevant retail solutions experience within the CPG industry
  • Strong planning and project management skills
  • Technical presentation skills with ability to adjust quickly under pressure
  • Understanding of consumer/shopper behavior and market dynamics
  • Knowledge of CPG industry and retail trends with understanding of Clorox and retailer-specific strategies.
