About the role
- Provides primary direction and leadership across multi-disciplinary nursing operational activities
- Guides multiple nursing departments within a functional area or across several functional areas
- Responsible for nursing operations for a major geographic market/area
- Executes and enables the strategy set by management and integrates policy across several nursing departments
- Identifies significant improvement opportunities and facilitates cross-business unit initiatives
- Provides strategic direction for nursing operations, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and client expectations
- Serves as a key interface with external stakeholders
- Develops new nursing operations procedures and systems and enhances existing processes
- Actively participates in client-facing activities, including RFP responses and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
- Accountable for maintaining performance standards across quality, cost, and service dimensions
Requirements
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- MSN or MBA strongly preferred
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in nursing operations or healthcare delivery
- 5+ years in multi-site leadership roles
- Experience in client-facing roles, including participation in RFP/QBR processes
- Excellent leadership skills
- Proven ability to innovate and drive large organization change
- Experience working in a large highly matrixed organization
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Strong business and financial background with a sense of urgency and a desire to achieve top line results
