About the role

  • assists departments and areas as they create programs, products and initiatives that move forward the mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
  • manages all Correlation policies, processes, and procedures
  • perform a “regulatory” Correlation oversight role related to product planning/budgeting, IP, data privacy, visual identity, doctrinal accuracy, and research for all area employees and volunteers.
  • helps the area presidency to make strategic decisions about published products
  • supervises all product planning, doctrinal review, intellectual property review, and research activities in the area.
  • manages the Area Materials Evaluation Committee who review content being created for doctrinal accuracy.
  • has the authority to freeze the publishing budget and stop publishing work if it is does not have a certified product plan or if it is not in alignment with approved Church policy and procedures.
  • manages all outside contractors and vendors performing research for the area.
  • reports directly to the area presidency for all Correlation functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree or equivalent (preferred)
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Managerial and supervision skills
  • Strategic planning mindset and experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Outstanding ability to work successfully with others
  • Excellent understanding of Church doctrine
  • Strong executive presentation abilities
  • Ability to learn quickly and pay attention to detail
  • 10 or more years of experience in one or, preferably, more of the following fields:
  •  project management
  •  supervision of staff, volunteers, contractors, or vendors
  •  strategic planning
  •  product planning and budgeting
  •  teaching Church doctrine
  •  intellectual property
  •  organizational branding
  •  data privacy
  •  research (strategic, formative, and/or summative)
