About the role
- Train and support GEC Technology Coordinators (TCs) in all aspects of GEC technology operations, including hardware setup, software deployment, and troubleshooting
- Develop, refine, and enforce technology standards across all GECs. Lead the technical setup and launch of new centers to ensure full compliance with organizational standards
- Oversee daily technology operations at GECs, working closely with TCs to resolve issues efficiently and improve overall system performance
- Host regular meetings with TCs to share lessons learned, surface challenges, and disseminate best practices across the global network
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to manage technology-related projects, deployments, and upgrades
- Oversee GEC technology hardware and software budgets
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or similar
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Management, Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of experience in IT operations, technology training, or systems administration
- Ability to provide highly available business-class internet service
- Ability to deploy and manage Windows and Chrome computers
- Experience working across multiple remote locations or international teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a distributed team
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in educational technology environments
- Experience working in or supporting operations in Africa or the Philippines
- Understanding of African and Filipino cultures
- French and/or Portuguese language proficiency
- Experience with Faronics and Skedda software solutions
- Experience managing relationships with technology vendors
