• Assess clients for appropriate level of care, including behavioral examples, frequency, duration, severity, and environmental impacts

• Implement interventions that demonstrate respect for sociocultural values, personal goals, lifestyle choices, and complex family interactions within a systemic context.
• Intervene on behalf of clients taking into account their physical, mental, emotional health and substance use history.
• Schedule and conduct therapeutic counseling sessions with individuals, families, and treatment teams based on cases assigned and at the established acuity for each family.
• Take appropriate initiatives to manage crisis situations.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic practices to support families through individual sessions.
• Document activities according to OMHAS, Medicaid and Joint Commission standards
• Provide Crisis Intervention on call as assigned and all duties related to crises

• Screen clients for appropriate level of care, including assessing for psychoactive substance toxicity, intoxication, withdrawal symptoms, dangerousness to self or others, and coexisting behavioral health problems.
• Identify history of trauma, adversity and/or toxic stress that influence presenting problem(s), functioning, and family interaction styles.
• Determines the level of immediate and future risk of abuse or neglect to children.
• Adapt services, including evidence-based inter-professional team approaches, to the language, cultural norms, and individual preferences of healthcare consumers and family members.
• Develop collaborative relationships with providers of services tailored to the needs of culturally diverse healthcare consumers and family members.
• Develop training plans and facilitates coaching, ensuring that services are family focused.
• Actively contribute to treatment teams, departmental committees, large group supervision, and other Ranch and external working groups as assigned or appropriate.
• Use trauma-informed, focused interventions to engage clients.
• Educates clients, family members, and other providers about healthcare conditions, prevention, available treatments, illness and whole health self-management, peer support and recovery.

Integrated Co-Occurring Counselor/Social Worker

Recruitment

• Work with prospective and current foster parents offering support and guidance through the steps to become a licensed foster parent and maintain their licensure with the agency and DCY regulations.
• Create and implement outreach efforts to educate the public about foster care to recruit potential caregivers.
• Collaborate with the team members regarding foster care training curriculum development and presentations to both prospective and licensed foster families.
• Conduct events and opportunities to foster parents to feel supported, valued, and recognized.
• Travel to program sites in Southwest Ohio and can expect evening and weekend hours.
