💰 £60,000 per year

About the role

  • Reconciling funds received from clients, insurers, credit agencies, and other third parties across all relevant bank accounts, identifying and escalating anomalies.
  • Reconciling Policy Administration System (PAS) transactions against bank activity to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Completing detailed reconciliations of individual client ledgers—covering invoices, bank entries, and cash movements.
  • Producing reconciliation artefacts to a standard suitable for both internal and external audit.
  • Maintaining the project reconciliation tracker and providing weekly updates to the Programme Director.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or QBE) with deep reconciliation experience
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to resolve a wide range of queries
  • Solid understanding of internal financial controls
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry, including risk types and insurer placements
  • Internal audit experience (advantageous)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capability.
