About the role
- Prepare closing documents in accordance with loan terms, investor guidelines, and applicable state and federal regulations
- Review final loan documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance prior to closing
- Confirm closing conditions have been met and coordinate funding requests with appropriate departments
- Communicate with title companies, escrow agents, attorneys, and internal departments to confirm closing details and resolve issues
- Ensure timely and compliant delivery of closing packages to appropriate parties
- Maintain detailed records and update loan origination system with final closing status
- Monitor workflow timelines to ensure closings are completed within designated schedules
- Assist with post-closing and audit requests as needed
- Stay informed of changes in lending regulations, investor requirements, and internal policy updates
- Partner with the Mortgage Compliance Manager to address risk mitigation and ensure adherence to all regulatory expectations
- Reports to Mortgage Compliance Manager
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in mortgage lending or financial services
- 3+ years of experience in mortgage closing or a related role
- Solid understanding of TRID, RESPA, and other applicable regulatory frameworks
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency with loan origination systems and closing software
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment
