About the role
- Provide an outstanding customer experience across email, phone, live chat, and social media
- Practice active listening to identify and acknowledge customer concerns, offering appropriate solutions to prevent escalation
- Process order changes, manage out-of-stocks, and create/authorize returns, along with other tasks required to support smooth Customer Care operations
- Educate customers on tentree products, materials, manufacturing practices, tree planting, and broader sustainability initiatives
- Collaborate with warehouse partners to coordinate order processing and shipments, and initiate investigations with shipping carriers for lost or damaged parcels
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and partner cross-functionally to support customer retention
- Support administrative tasks and process improvement projects as needed
Requirements
- 1+ years of relevant customer service experience
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms such as Gladly, Shopify, and NetSuite is an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with a high level of discretion and professionalism
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with a high attention to detail
- Able to work an average of 20 hours per week, with flexibility to increase availability during peak periods
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Positive attitude with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
- Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Passion for environmental sustainability and a desire to make a meaningful impact
