About the role

  • Administer and monitor Oracle Database Enterprise Edition environments (19c or later)
  • Monitor databases using tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
  • Analyze diagnostic alerts and ensure incident resolution
  • Proactively manage tablespaces and disk space
  • Oversee and validate RMAN backups
  • Respond to incidents and perform database restore and recovery when required
  • Analyze and optimize Oracle database performance
  • Participate in the installation, configuration and upgrades of Oracle environments
  • Apply security patches and necessary updates
  • Produce technical documentation and incident reports
  • Participate in disaster recovery testing
  • Collaborate with technical teams and clients to ensure environment stability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification or equivalent
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in Oracle database administration
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle 19c environments or later
  • Experience with multitenant architectures (CDB/PDB)
  • Good knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager, RMAN, Oracle Diagnostics Pack and Oracle Tuning Pack
  • Experience with AWS or cloud environments (asset)
  • Experience in mission-critical or highly regulated environments (asset)
  • Ability to participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills in French and/or English.
