About the role
- Analyze business needs related to geospatial information systems.
- Define the functional architecture of geospatial/geomatics solutions.
- Develop strategies for implementing and evolving geospatial systems.
- Produce functional architecture documentation, including business processes and information flows.
- Ensure alignment between functional, application, and technology architectures.
- Collaborate with software architects, functional analysts, and development teams.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of large-scale projects involving geospatial systems.
- Contribute to the evaluation and selection of geospatial technology solutions.
- Document architecture decisions and ensure traceability of requirements.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer to technical and functional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in geomatics, computer science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in information technology.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the development or maintenance of IT systems.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a functional architecture advisor/consultant.
- Significant experience on projects involving geospatial information systems.
- Experience developing implementation strategies for information systems.
- Solid understanding of geospatial system architectures.
- Familiarity with geomatics technologies such as ArcGIS, FME, or equivalent solutions.
- Demonstrated excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
