About the role
- Design, implement, and maintain telecommunications systems and infrastructure to support business operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure telecom solutions align with business needs.
- Monitor and troubleshoot telecom systems, including voice, data, and video communications, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Provide technical support for telecom-related issues and assist in the resolution of service disruptions.
- Conduct regular assessments of telecom systems and recommend improvements or upgrades to enhance performance and security.
- Develop and maintain documentation for telecom configurations, processes, and best practices.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in telecommunications technology to ensure the organization remains competitive.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Telecom Engineer or in a similar role, preferably within the financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of telecom systems, including VoIP, PBX, and network protocols.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telecom management tools and technologies.
- Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
- Relevant certifications in telecommunications or network management are a plus.
