Lead the Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams to drive a culture of quality across all manufacturing operations.
Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s quality management systems (QMS) in compliance with industry standards (ISO, IATF, etc.).
Ensure that quality control processes are effectively executed and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality metrics.
Establish, review, and update quality policies, procedures, and objectives in alignment with business goals.
Identify and lead initiatives for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes to enhance quality, reduce defects, and improve efficiency.
Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to drive process optimization and waste reduction.
Implement root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for quality issues, ensuring that problems are resolved in a timely and effective manner.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies related to manufacturing and quality.
Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and customer requirements, ensuring all products meet specifications and standards.
Manage audits and inspections, both internal and external, ensuring readiness and compliance with certifications and standards.
Monitor and report on risk management related to product quality and safety.
Build and lead a high-performing quality team, providing mentorship, training, and development opportunities.
Foster a collaborative and proactive approach to quality across departments and ensure effective communication of quality objectives.
Evaluate and improve the performance of the quality team through regular assessments, feedback, and career development planning.
Work with customer service and production teams to address quality-related customer complaints, returns, or feedback.
Engage with key customers to discuss quality requirements and concerns, ensuring their needs are met while maintaining compliance.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring that quality standards are adhered to throughout the supply chain.
Provide regular reports and presentations to senior leadership on quality metrics, goals, challenges, and achievements.
Analyze data from audits, inspections, and quality control activities to identify trends and drive decision-making.
Track and report on quality improvement initiatives and their impact on operational performance.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred; those without a degree, but who have equivalent experience, will also be considered)
10+ years' experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience implementing quality management systems (QMS), including ISO, IATF, or similar certifications.
Strong background in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience in supplier quality management and customer quality relationship management.
