About the role
- Guarantee the health plan has an effective transportation strategy and oversee the Contractor’s NEMT broker
- Proactively resolve potential transportation disruptions and implement creative solutions to ensure member transport
- Promote communication between the State and the Contractor on NEMT issues
- Conduct audits and reviews of the Plan’s non-emergent transportation broker
- Respond to complaints and concerns from medical providers, facilities, drivers, and members
- Build and maintain an adequate transportation network to serve member needs
- Interact with nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, dialysis centers, hospitals and emergency medical services; work with providers to resolve issues ensuring member access to care and services
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Health Administration or related field (required)
- 5+ years relevant management experience (required)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Practical knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and health plan administration (desired)
