Guarantee the health plan has an effective transportation strategy and oversee the Contractor’s NEMT broker
Proactively resolve potential transportation disruptions and implement creative solutions to ensure member transport
Promote communication between the State and the Contractor on NEMT issues
Conduct audits and reviews of the Plan’s non-emergent transportation broker
Respond to complaints and concerns from medical providers, facilities, drivers, and members
Build and maintain an adequate transportation network to serve member needs
Interact with nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, dialysis centers, hospitals and emergency medical services; work with providers to resolve issues ensuring member access to care and services
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Health Administration or related field (required)
5+ years relevant management experience (required)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Practical knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and health plan administration (desired)
