About the role
- Act as a customer liaison delivering TD’s Brand promise through consultative financial advice and service
- Identify customer needs, recommend TD products and services, and make referrals to appropriate team members or partners
- Utilize product knowledge and customer relationship management tools to proactively assess customers and lead outbound sales activities
- Participate in customer outreach, servicing and advice activities; engage in conversations about loan products and facilitate application intake
- Perform teller transactions (check cashing, deposits, transfers, withdrawals) while monitoring fraud mitigation and adhering to operational policies/procedures
- Orchestrate lobby/customer flow, warmly welcome customers, discover initial needs and guide customers appropriately
- Resolve customer issues and escalate when necessary; act as a customer advocate to improve financial confidence
- Ensure compliance with regulations (Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, Regulation Z, SAFE Act) and internal risk/control policies and procedures
- Participate in store daily operations, contribute to team performance, knowledge sharing, and personal development
- Establish relationships with partner bankers for referrals and act as a brand ambassador for TD
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED
- 1+ years' experience working with customers and/or sales (volunteering, education, military experience may be considered)
- Teller experience preferred
- Must be able to complete teller training upon hire to take customer transactions
- Demonstrated ability to engage in customer conversations while educating them on products and services preferred
- Demonstrated organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with ability to be concise, clear and consistent
- Demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within deadlines
- Sound judgment in decision making and effective problem solving
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Notary License (Preferred)
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
- Must maintain an active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry)
- Must be eligible for employment with a covered financial institution under Regulation Z of the Truth in Lending Act
- Must be eligible for registration as a registered mortgage loan originator with the NMLS in accordance with the SAFE Act
- Satisfactory results on a criminal background check and a credit report check; required statements/certifications regarding administrative, civil, and/or criminal findings
