About the role
- Oversee the planning and execution of audits covering discrete business units or functional corporate areas
- Oversee the Audit team performing the audits
- Contribute to the Audit planning process for specific businesses/functional units, including audit plans, resource requirements and budgets
- Plan and lead audits and oversee staff working on multiple audits, form conclusions, communicate scope/findings to business line
- Perform testing of critical areas of audit and review audit documentation
- Oversee findings follow up and issue validation
- Ensure audits are executed and completed in accordance with established standards and within prescribed time, budget and scope parameters
- Oversee a small to medium sized team assigned to audits and provide coaching and feedback
- Evaluate internal and external risks for assigned business lines and/or functions
- Act as primary contact with management regarding audit scope, findings and status
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree required
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Experience planning and leading audits covering business units or functional corporate areas
- Experience overseeing audit teams and providing coaching/feedback
- Ability to perform testing of critical audit areas and review audit documentation
- Experience overseeing findings follow up and issue validation
- Ability to evaluate internal and external risks for assigned business lines and/or functions
- Acts as primary contact with management regarding audit scope, findings and status
- Knowledge of regulatory validation for financial crimes (implied by role title)
- Occasional domestic travel
