About the role

  • Lead and develop a team of actuaries and data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence while ensuring delivery of high-impact analytical solutions
  • Collaborate closely with TDI Pricing stakeholders to understand their unique requirements, develop tailored solutions, and maintain strong, productive relationships that drive mutual success
  • Drive the strategic vision for end-to-end machine learning solutions, from problem formulation through deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market opportunities
  • Champion innovative approaches to traditional insurance problems, continuously identifying opportunities to leverage cutting-edge methodologies and technologies
  • Orchestrate collaboration between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex business requirements into actionable analytical frameworks
  • Partner with Model Governance teams to establish efficient validation protocols that balance innovation with regulatory compliance and industry standards
  • Guide the development of scalable modeling frameworks and robust inference pipelines, ensuring technical sustainability and operational excellence
  • Mentor team members in both technical and business aspects, developing their capabilities in areas such as feature engineering, model architecture design, and stakeholder management
  • Provide strategic oversight of multiple concurrent workstreams, ensuring timely delivery of solutions while maintaining high standards of quality and innovation

Requirements

  • University degree
  • 10+ years of related experience, including 3 to 5 years people management experience
  • Generally a fully qualified Fellow
