About the role

  • Provides support to various corporate and business line applications and applies knowledge of the business line and system technology to business problem solving
  • Independently perform activities from end to end and require advanced understanding of policies, processes, procedures, systems and concepts within area of specialty and integration points with related areas
  • Manage ambiguity, apply judgement to identify, troubleshoot and resolve ongoing business and operational issues
  • Interpret and administer policies, adopt and implement business process improvements
  • Make process and capacity management decisions to ensure ongoing operations
  • Conduct regular, ongoing analysis, evaluation/assessment and review of business programs and initiatives
  • Maintain up to date awareness of business landscape; assess gaps and support implementation of programs to meet or exceed employee expectations
  • Conduct ongoing industry and competitive analysis to obtain market insights
  • Provide input to managers and business leaders through analytics and driving insights to support planning
  • Develop and maintain program documentation and communication materials
  • Support with analyzing policy and governance impacts on customers, stakeholders and processes
  • Liaise with various partners and stakeholders in the resolution of business program issues
  • Support and monitor adherence to service level agreements with external vendors and work in close partnership with vendors to ensure program objectives are met
  • Conduct internal and external research projects; support development/delivery of presentations/communications to management or broader audience
  • Conduct reporting and/or meaningful analysis at the functional or enterprise level using results to draw conclusions, make recommendations, assess effectiveness of programs/policies/practices
  • Monitor service, productivity and assess efficiency levels within own function and implement continuous process/performance improvements where opportunities exist
  • Acquire and apply expertise in the discipline, provide guidance, assistance and direction to others
  • Identify, recommend and execute standard practices applicable to the discipline
  • Participate fully as a member of the team; support a positive work environment promoting service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork
  • Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit
  • Participate in personal performance management and development activities, including cross training within own team
  • Act as a brand ambassador for your business area/function and the bank

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree and/or 3+ years relevant experience
  • Solid knowledge of multiple business programs disciplines, consulting principles, lines of businesses supported, banking industry, and product/customer markets
  • Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends
  • Knowledge of risk management environment, standards and regulations
  • Knowledge of project/program support, planning and implementation
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships
  • Skill in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques
  • Skill in using computer applications including MS Office
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
  • Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
