About the role

  • Lead and develop a team of audit professionals overseeing audits/projects
  • Provide guidance, leadership, coaching and development to staff
  • Hire, set goals, manage performance and disciplinary actions
  • Oversee large, complex and diverse audit teams
  • Act as strategic advisor to leadership on portfolio and financials
  • Facilitate strategic audit discussions and provide thought leadership
  • Manage audits for multiple complex businesses or global lines
  • Plan audit engagements and ensure adequate risk coverage
  • Act as lead audit advisor and report on emerging trends
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines
  • Lead relationships with business lines and control functions
  • Forecast initiatives and coordinate prioritization of portfolio
  • Oversee implementation of internal audit action/remediation plans
  • Manage team targets, objectives, recruitment and succession planning
  • Coordinate resources to complete audit assignments by deadlines

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree required
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • People management experience leading teams greater than 5
  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Experience in audit, financial crimes, or related
  • Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and internal audit frameworks
