About the role
- Provide technical leadership across Analytics function with enterprise impact
- Develop and monitor financial crime risk models and advanced analytics
- Work independently on analysis, design and support of technical data management solutions
- Translate business problems into viable data science solutions and extract insights from big data
- Visualize and present results to decision-makers at all levels
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable data science solutions
- Participate in cross-functional/enterprise initiatives and act as subject matter expert
- Lead, mentor and support team development and knowledge transfer
- Ensure programs meet business, regulatory, and governance requirements
- Participate in hiring, training, and continuous improvement activities
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred (e.g., math, physics, engineering, finance or computer science)
- Graduate degree preferred with either progressive project work experience or 5+ year of relevant experience; graduate degree with ~4 years considered
- Hands-on experience in modeling
- Strong coding skills in Python and SQL
- Experience with LLM and knowledge of the AML domain is a plus
- Experience in SAS coding and Transaction Monitoring
- Experience designing, developing and supporting technical data management solutions
- Ability to translate business problems to data science solutions
- Ability to visualize insights and communicate to stakeholders
- Collaboration with data engineers, software engineers, and analysts
- Familiarity with data infrastructure and big data techniques
