About the role
- Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and policies aligned with organizational goals
- Provide strategic financial analysis, forecasting, and planning to support decision-making and resource allocation
- Oversee financial operations including budgeting, accounting, revenue cycle management, financial reporting, and compliance
- Lead development and monitoring of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and performance metrics
- Ensure integrity, accuracy, and transparency of financial reporting and accounting practices (GAAP compliance)
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital management
- Lead financial planning and analysis, variance and trend analysis, and scenario planning
- Collaborate with executive leadership, department heads, and external stakeholders on contracts and partnerships
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the finance team
- Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets and minimize risk
- Lead financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships
- Manage relationships with lenders, investors, auditors, and regulatory agencies
- Lead financial modelling and scenario analysis for strategic initiatives and capital projects
- Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to optimize revenue cycle management and improve billing/reimbursement
- Drive cost containment initiatives, process improvements, and efficiency measures to maximize financial performance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Master's degree preferred
- CPA or MBA strongly preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience in healthcare finance
- Strong understanding of healthcare finance principles, including revenue cycle management, reimbursement models, healthcare regulations, and accounting standards
- Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
- Proficiency in financial planning and analysis tools and software
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Experience managing financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, and compliance
- Knowledge of healthcare industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements
