About the role
- Oversee and manage the monthly close process
- Manage, lead, train and mentor accounting and accounts payable teams
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations and internal policies
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Work closely with internal and external auditors to gather information and prepare reports for financial, statutory and application control audits
- Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts; reconcile discrepancies and investigate root causes
- Collaborate with supply chain, operations, and procurements teams to ensure accurate inventory tracking and reporting
- Entity Consolidation reporting including consolidating international entities and submission to corporate entity including reporting to related public company requirements
- Reporting and communication for monthly results to all levels of the business
- Interpret accounting results, identify problems, research solutions and make recommendations
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree required, degree in accounting or finance and CPA preferred
- 5-7 years of professional accounting
- 2-3 years’ experience managing a team of accounting or finance professionals
- Highly organized and able to multitask
- Ability to collaborate with staff at all levels of the organization
- Solid knowledge of MS Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work with confidential information
