About the role
- Partnering with Product Owners, Sales, and Bid teams to design high-quality, commercially strong solutions that align with client needs and product roadmaps
- Leading client workshops, uncovering requirements, and ensuring the right expertise is involved at every stage of the process
- Crafting roadmap-aligned solutions to support bids and proposals
- Clarifying needs and testing ideas through client workshops
- Presenting insights, impacts and solutions to internal teams and client stakeholders (including board level)
- Building trusted, long‑term client relationships
- Translating requirements into structured business and functional design
- Ensuring holistic, scalable solutions aligned to scope and identifying risks, gaps and dependencies early
- Conducting analysis to find process and journey improvement opportunities
- Producing as-is and future-state process maps
- Working closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, Compliance and Commercial teams
- Feeding market and client insights into product strategy
- Coaching colleagues on solution design and client needs
- Supporting post‑project reviews and best‑practice development
- Helping evolve discovery and solution‑shaping methodologies
Requirements
- A strong Business Analyst or Business Consulting background
- Experience capturing, analysing and translating client requirements
- Exposure to bids, pre‑sales or solution‑design processes
- Excellent workshop facilitation and discovery skills
- Confident stakeholder engagement skills — including senior forums
- Experience in complex, regulated or financial‑services environments (FCA desirable)
- Strong understanding of business processes and digital system capabilities
- Commercial awareness and an eye for emerging market trends
- Builds strong relationships at all levels
- Thinks innovatively and solves problems proactively
- Thrives in complex, fast‑paced environments
- Communicates clearly — both in writing and verbally
- Exceeds client expectations and embraces change
- Shares knowledge and supports team success
- Spots barriers early and takes action
