Business Analyst

• Act as part of the Solution Owner Group, ensuring proposed systems and services align with business needs and Target’s strategic goals.
• Manage multiple deliverables with precision, maintaining a strong focus on quality and outcomes.
• Lead the capture and analysis of both functional and non-functional business requirements, ensuring clarity, completeness, and traceability.
• Provide or validate cost estimates based on the Solution Definition Document, in collaboration with the Solution Consultant and monitor these estimates throughout the change lifecycle, escalating any significant variances to the Project Manager and Team Lead as needed.
• Assist in shaping system and service solutions ensuring strategic alignment.
• Support project scoping and planning using deep domain expertise.
• Lead requirements gathering and documentation for new and enhanced business solutions.
• Develop detailed process flows and solution documents in line with Target’s standards.
• Ensure requirements are captured to meet delivery objectives and adhere to Target’s methodology.
• **Serve as the escalation point and expert**, providing guidance and support to other analysts working on the project
• Approve technical documentation and test plans to ensure quality and completeness.
• Identify product gaps and contribute to roadmap planning through feedback to Product Management.
• Maintain key project documentation and support governance through risk, issue, and change tracking.
• Support the Team Lead to drive a culture of continuous improvement, engagement, motivation, and clear communication.
• Coach and mentor colleagues, sharing knowledge to support their growth and capability.

Senior Business Analyst

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Partner with your designated business area (Change & IT), providing end to end P&L ownership and building strong working relationships with your internal stakeholders
• Take full ownership of the annual budgeting process for your business area
• Produce rolling forecasts, with a formal quarterly reforecast
• Maintain an R&O schedule
• Hold monthly financial performance reviews with stakeholders including presenting actuals v budget and reviewing and challenging any forecast discrepancies
• Understand the overhead cost base and determine the appropriate allocation methodology across the Client P&L's to show and EBITDA
• Provide insight into client profitability and report back to the business through a partnering approach
• Analysing actuals from Client P&L's compared to the pricing models, understanding reasons for variances and taking appropriate action
• Work closely with the Financial Accounts and Management Accounts team to ensure that project related costs are accurately captured in the General Ledger

As Design Consultant you will be focused on solving our business critical challenges with a combination of technical, industry and business acumen. Utilising your key skills you will design solutions that not only deliver on our client’s requirements but also drive forward Targets technical roadmap.
The role is primarily remote, however you may be asked to attend our Cardiff or Newport office when required.
Design high quality, scalable, secure and resilient solutions for Target and the requirements of its existing or future clients.
Utilise effective design capability that can be articulated to clients and internal teams for the development of proposed solutions.
Sit on the internal Design Authority Board (DAB) and review proposed designs to ensure compliance with the agreed terms of reference for Targets technical strategy.
Play a key role in Targets modernisation by utilising your skills and knowledge of the IT industry to shape solutions.
Communicate design decisions, plans, goals and strategies to project teams and senior leadership.
Research, investigate, propose and introduce new technologies/third party applications to ensure Target remains relevant within the market.
Utilise Product, Industry & System knowledge to support the Solution Architect by designing components of the High Level Solution.
Articulate solution designs to software engineering teams to facilitate low level design.
Act as the technical design authority in project delivery, working with technical leads to ensure that the requirements of the solution are implemented in full
Provide product, system and industry guidance to the project team.
Support the Change project governance process, Design Solution Owner Group and Change SDLC
Working closely with Sales, Bid and Commercial teams, providing product and technical knowledge support to the bid process.
Support the Solution Architect for all Bid opportunities you are allocated.
Owning the process of engagement with all areas of the business and articulating the proposed solution design.
Providing design estimates for new functional components.
