About the role
- Shape strategy, lead negotiations, and influence company growth
- Be the commercial heartbeat for various business areas — advising and guiding stakeholders through bids and contracts
- Lead negotiations on high‑value IT and outsourcing contracts with close collaboration with legal team
- Inspire and support a small team in their development and evolution of the function
- Draft and shape commercial agreements
- Assess commercial risk and opportunity during bids
- Generate commercial components of tender responses
- Ensure proper commercial governance is applied
- Oversee contract management activities
- Resolve contractual disputes in a solutions‑focused way
- Continually improve processes, templates, and commercial toolkit
Requirements
- Experience drafting contracts, interpreting commercial terms, or pricing proposals
- A background in improving commercial processes and governance
- A strong drive to deliver, with a track record of getting things done
- Experience leading or mentoring colleagues
- Confidence negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to influence and build trust with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent attention to detail and comfort working in ambiguity
- A collaborative mindset with the confidence to work independently when needed
- Experience working with customers and managing contract‑related activity
