About the role

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for VAFF and E8
  • Oversee festival delivery, advocacy programming, fundraising, partnerships
  • Work closely with the Board and community stakeholders to ensure impactful initiatives
  • Lead and implement strategic vision and annual plans
  • Supervise staff, manage resources, ensure operational effectiveness
  • Serve as primary spokesperson at events and oversee marketing/communications

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of senior leadership experience in nonprofit, arts, cultural, or advocacy organization
  • Proven financial management capabilities
  • Strong background in fundraising, including sponsorships and grants
  • Comfortable working with Boards of Directors and engaging community stakeholders
  • Commitment to equity, anti-racism, and community-centered practice
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (EDIA) principles is an asset
  • Proficiency in additional languages is a plus
