About the role
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for VAFF and E8
- Oversee festival delivery, advocacy programming, fundraising, partnerships
- Work closely with the Board and community stakeholders to ensure impactful initiatives
- Lead and implement strategic vision and annual plans
- Supervise staff, manage resources, ensure operational effectiveness
- Serve as primary spokesperson at events and oversee marketing/communications
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of senior leadership experience in nonprofit, arts, cultural, or advocacy organization
- Proven financial management capabilities
- Strong background in fundraising, including sponsorships and grants
- Comfortable working with Boards of Directors and engaging community stakeholders
- Commitment to equity, anti-racism, and community-centered practice
- Demonstrated knowledge of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (EDIA) principles is an asset
- Proficiency in additional languages is a plus
