Serve as liaison between Takeda and transplant centers within designated territory
Present Takeda's transplant products and associated services to transplant surgeons, organ specialists, Infectious Disease specialists, transplant nurses, pharmacists, financial coordinators, and other members of the transplant team
Report to Regional Business Lead - Transplant
Achieve or exceed sales targets and Management by Objective (MBO) goals
Develop and execute strategic and tactical account planning, stakeholder mapping, and value propositions
Develop comprehensive territory-specific business plans and cross-functional business plans
Gain protocol and formulary access for specialty products in accounts
Conduct account management at all transplant centers within assigned territory and provide on-going service and support
Build relationships with Executive Level, Operations, Financial, and Pharmacy personnel and Thought Leaders
Prepare and present account business plans to management
Assess infusion economics, inventory management, reimbursement, procurement and deployment strategies
Monitor industry/managed care trends and communicate updates to Sales, Leadership, SFE Lead, Marketing and Market Access
Deliver approved messages on clinical, financial, outcomes, and operational issues
Strategically manage assigned accounts, budget and allocated resources
Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to communicate status updates on account issues/trends
Requirements
Bachelor's degree – BA/BS
5 years of direct selling experience to healthcare professionals in the pharmaceutical, biotech, device, specialty or healthcare industry
Experience developing and executing business plans aligned with corporate objectives
Experience launching business development initiatives and strategy for execution
Advanced business skills in negotiation, strategy, presentation, analytics and teamwork
Strong collaboration working within teams
Demonstrated business and strategic planning skills to identify unique selling opportunities
Understanding of managed care landscape and how it influences/impacts business
Strong verbal, influencing, presentation and written communication skills
Reside within assigned geography
Experience with transplant and/or rare disease (preferred)
Account-based sales (hospital, health system, infusion centers, large group practice) experience (preferred)
Buy & bill product selling/account management experience (preferred)
Understanding of payer access and reimbursement at regional/state/local levels (preferred)
Advanced business or scientific degree (MBA, MS, PharmD) (preferred)
Experience managing and communicating complex reimbursement issues (preferred)
Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
Authorization and ability to drive a company leased vehicle or rental
Required to obtain and maintain Hospital Credentialing (background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization/vaccination, specific training)
