About the role
- Canvass residential neighborhoods in the SoCal Gas and Southern California Edison service territory to engage homeowners
- Educate homeowners about the benefits of energy efficiency and the specific no-cost upgrade programs available through SCE and SoCalGas
- Explain available upgrades such as smart thermostats, ECM fan motors, HVAC tune-ups, and duct sealing, emphasizing that they are provided at no cost
- Address homeowner questions and concerns about the programs
- Generate leads by identifying eligible and interested homeowners
- Qualify potential customers by verifying their utility provider (SCE or SoCalGas) and program eligibility
- Schedule appointments for home energy assessments or direct installation of upgrades
- Meet and exceed targets for qualified leads and program enrollments
- Maintain professionalism and ethical conduct in all interactions
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Requirements
- Proven sales experience, preferably in door-to-door or direct sales
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
- Strong self-motivation and a results-driven attitude with a focus on meeting sales targets
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude with resilience to handle rejection
- Basic understanding of energy efficiency and home energy upgrades preferred
- Bilingual proficiency (Spanish) is a plus
- Valid California driver's license and reliable personal transportation required
