About the role

  • Canvass residential neighborhoods in the SoCal Gas and Southern California Edison service territory to engage homeowners
  • Educate homeowners about the benefits of energy efficiency and the specific no-cost upgrade programs available through SCE and SoCalGas
  • Explain available upgrades such as smart thermostats, ECM fan motors, HVAC tune-ups, and duct sealing, emphasizing that they are provided at no cost
  • Address homeowner questions and concerns about the programs
  • Generate leads by identifying eligible and interested homeowners
  • Qualify potential customers by verifying their utility provider (SCE or SoCalGas) and program eligibility
  • Schedule appointments for home energy assessments or direct installation of upgrades
  • Meet and exceed targets for qualified leads and program enrollments
  • Maintain professionalism and ethical conduct in all interactions
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Proven sales experience, preferably in door-to-door or direct sales
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Strong self-motivation and a results-driven attitude with a focus on meeting sales targets
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude with resilience to handle rejection
  • Basic understanding of energy efficiency and home energy upgrades preferred
  • Bilingual proficiency (Spanish) is a plus
  • Valid California driver's license and reliable personal transportation required
