About the role
- Canvass residential neighborhoods in the SoCal Gas and Southern California Edison service territory to engage homeowners.
- Educate homeowners about the benefits of energy efficiency and the specific no-cost upgrade programs available through SCE and SoCalGas.
- Explain available upgrades such as smart thermostats, ECM fan motors, HVAC tune-ups, and duct sealing, emphasizing that they are provided at no cost.
- Address homeowner questions and concerns about the programs.
- Generate leads by identifying eligible and interested homeowners.
- Qualify potential customers by verifying their utility provider (SCE or SoCalGas) and program eligibility.
- Schedule appointments for home energy assessments or direct installation of upgrades.
- Meet and exceed targets for qualified leads and program enrollments.
- Maintain professionalism and ethical conduct in all interactions.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Proven sales experience, preferably in door-to-door or direct sales.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Strong self-motivation and a results-driven attitude with a focus on meeting sales targets.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude with resilience to handle rejection.
- Basic understanding of energy efficiency and home energy upgrades preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency (Spanish) is a plus.
- Valid California driver's license and reliable personal transportation required.
