About the role

  • Lead the marketing organization for PayPal, Co-Brand and develop/implement strategies to achieve Synchrony growth metrics
  • Work collaboratively with General Manager and partner organizations to drive incremental card usage
  • Develop and lead a team of direct reports as portfolio marketing leader
  • Partner with business and client team to lead, develop, implement, and monitor dynamic annual growth plans
  • Establish and develop key relationships at senior levels of partner organization
  • Optimize contractual marketing spend and pursue additional funds to meet growth goals
  • Identify portfolio segments to target and test/implement programs
  • Manage value proposition, track industry trends, competitors and customer experience metrics
  • Ensure program profitability and penetration; drive omni-channel and digital optimization
  • Monitor & manage performance of all key credit and marketing metrics vs. plan
  • Assist in the development of the Synchrony Financial planning cycle

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree OR in lieu of degree; high school diploma/GED and 14+ years of Marketing experience in a corporate environment
  • 10+ years marketing experience, preferably in credit card or financial services
  • Demonstrated growth marketing leadership skills (analytic and creative)
  • Significant exposure to consumer facing programs/products
  • Experience with digital channels – online and mobile
  • Experience in co-brand/ general purpose credit card product management
  • Experience managing organizations and other professionals with a minimum of 3 years of managerial responsibility
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Strong PC proficiency (MS Office Suite) or comparable software applications
  • Outstanding communications, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills
  • Strategic thinking with ability to develop and implement actionable plans to drive business results
  • Demonstrated project management and strong problem-solving skills
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; employer will not sponsor visas
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints
  • Must satisfy requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act
