About the role
- Lead discovery and documentation of existing IT services, infrastructure, and support models
- Validate service inventories and operational processes with technical and business stakeholders
- Assess organisational and technical readiness for transition to managed services and develop readiness plans
- Coordinate change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption and minimal disruption
- Manage execution activities including knowledge transfer, provider onboarding, and cutover planning
- Ensure continuity of service and successful handover to operational teams
- Oversee early life support and monitor service performance post-transition
- Develop and manage detailed transition and transformation plans including timelines, budgets, and resources
- Define and implement transition governance, risk management, reporting, and stakeholder communication
- Monitor KPIs and SLAs and conduct post-transition reviews for continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with ITIL and relevant frameworks
Requirements
- Proven experience in IT service transition or transformation projects
- Strong understanding of ITIL and service management frameworks and managed service models
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, MSP)
- Experience in vendor management and contract transition (highly desirable)
- Ability to manage complex transitions involving multiple stakeholders and service domains
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Project Management certification preferred (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
- ITIL Foundation or higher certification desirable
