Responsible for developing commercial proposals, contract negotiation and managing commercial risk to secure profitable business for the Power Conversion business
Lead contract negotiations and customer meetings including the legal aspects of the contract i.e. limitation of liability, insurance, indemnities, etc., and bring the deal for closure/contract signature
Understand and have the ability to create project cash flows based on the project profile, exchange rates fluctuations (USD, EUR, BRL, etc), and cost escalation models
Become proficient with use of financial, cost/pricing and technical tools associated with above responsibilities
Development of commercial proposals for low, medium and complex RFQ/RFI/RFP, working cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Finance, Engineering and Sourcing aligning customers’ expectations against the company’s profitability and risk profiles
Ensure compliance with the commercial risk process for all transactions and lead the technical, profitability and commercial inputs during presentations at risk meetings
Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' opinions on particular topics by guiding others to consider a different point of view
Interfaces with other GE Vernova businesses and works globally to increase our penetration in the markets
Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems within projects, markets, sales processes, or customers
Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders or customers
Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations
Works with regional commercial and risk teams to identify opportunities for simplification and productivity
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or equivalent (minimum of 10 years of professional experience)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Commercial operations, Sales, Business and/or Contract Law or equivalent experience associated with gas / steam turbine / power plant, wind power, variable frequency drives, electric motors, or grid products
Minimum of 2 years of experience with reviewing customer specifications, proposal development, contract development and direct negotiations for equipment and/ or services sales and consortium agreements
Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens
Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
Ability and willingness to travel 20% of the time.
