Provide leadership, direction, development and resource management of a technical team of engineers supporting GEH Nuclear
Ownership and accountability for plant integrated systems from licensing through final design for construction up to plant turnover to the customer
Requirements management, change control and management of NI/TI interfaces with partners and suppliers across the portfolio
Coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts and oversight of product technology decisions; serve as escalation point for technical issue resolution
Work across engineering teams to ensure effective interdisciplinary detailed design interfaces and resolve inter-disciplinary issues
Plan/support independent design reviews and provide oversight of plant security issues including Safeguards Information, SUNSI classification and Cyber Security issues
Accountability for delivering products and services on-time and on-budget
Team resource planning and project/program assignments
Collaborate with Product Development, Project Delivery, Sourcing and Quality to coordinate technical inputs/outputs, requirements, workforce planning/scheduling and risk management
Streamline, integrate and develop team technical and management processes through Lean and/or Six Sigma methodology
Act as technical liaison with customers, partner organizations and suppliers; present product/program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leads
Requirements
B.S. Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical or similar)
Minimum 7 years of experience in a technology or engineering role
Eligibility for access to U.S. export-controlled information; ability to obtain authorization from U.S. Government if applicable
For Canada: legal authorization to work in Canada; work two days a week onsite in Markham, Ontario
For United States: preferred work location Wilmington, NC; highly qualified US-based remote candidates considered
Demonstrated people management and motivation skills (desired)
Master’s degree or PhD in an engineering or technical discipline (desired)
Experience managing highly technical and diverse Engineering teams and functions (desired)
Strong Leadership skills (desired)
Knowledge of working within a regulated environment (Nuclear) (desired)
Knowledge of quality standards and systems (e.g., NQA-1 and ISO 9000) (desired)
