About the role

  • Own the end-to-end solution architecture for GRIDOS-based SCADA applications, from requirements definition through deployment and lifecycle support.
  • Act as the technical authority and escalation point for complex design, performance, and production issues.
  • Lead architecture and solution design for the Extensible FEP, including protocol strategy, integration patterns, performance optimization, and fault tolerance.
  • Define and maintain reference architectures, design standards, coding guidelines, and best practices for GRIDOS services implementations.
  • Guide teams in designing and delivering SCADA capabilities for services solutions, including: Real-time telemetry ingestion and processing, Supervisory control and command handling workflows, Alarms, events, historian integration, and operational displays, Role-based access control, auditability, and operational safety mechanisms.
  • Drive non-functional requirements across solutions, including: High availability and disaster recovery, Low-latency, high-throughput performance, Cybersecurity, compliance, and operational resilience.
  • Ensure architectures meet grid operational requirements and scale across development, test, and production environments.
  • Define and execute modernization strategies, including: Performance tuning and refactoring, Modularization and platform extensibility, Automated testing and CI/CD readiness.
  • Promote engineering best practices and continuous improvement across teams.
  • Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Operations to deliver roadmap objectives.
  • Lead technical design reviews and mentor senior and mid-level engineers.
  • Support customer-facing activities, including architecture discussions and technical workshops.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • 18+ years of relevant experience in:
  • Industrial automation systems
  • Transmission & Distribution (T&D) software applications
  • SCADA or real-time mission-critical systems
  • Proven experience in software architecture, solution design, and implementation for large-scale systems in a global environment
  • Demonstrated experience working with global utility customers, including leading or supporting:
  • Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
  • Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
  • Strong hands-on experience with C++, Java, and/or Python
  • Deep understanding of:
  • Real-time systems and distributed architectures
  • Integration protocols and data ingestion patterns
  • High-availability and fault-tolerant system design
