About the role
- Preparation of proposals/bids, contract negotiation and compliance with contract commitments and commercial risk assessment
- Responsible for developing commercial proposals, contract negotiation and managing commercial risk to secure profitable business for the Power Conversion business.
- Lead contract negotiations and customer meetings including the legal aspects of the contract i.e. limitation of liability, insurance, indemnities, etc., and bring the deal for closure/contract signature.
- Understand and have the ability to create project cash flows based on the project profile, exchange rates fluctuations (USD, CAD, EUR, BRL, etc), and cost escalation models.
- Become proficient with use of financial, cost/pricing and technical tools associated with above responsibilities.
- Development of commercial proposals for low, medium and complex RFQ/RFI/RFP, working cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Finance, Engineering and Sourcing aligning customers’ expectations against the company’s profitability and risk profiles.
- Ensure compliance with the commercial risk process for all transactions and lead the technical, profitability and commercial inputs during presentations at risk meetings.
- Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' opinions on particular topics by guiding others to consider a different point of view.
- Interfaces with other GE Vernova businesses and works globally to increase our penetration in the markets.
- Uses a high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems within projects, markets, sales processes, or customers.
- Has the ability to assess the quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders or customers.
- Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations.
- Works with regional commercial and risk teams to identify opportunities for simplification and productivity.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years commercial experience.
- Minimum 2 years contract management / negotiation experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Commercial Management, Business and/or Contract Law;
