About the role

  • Drive Project Execution for US Government projects to maximize cash and margin while delivering on time and in conformity with the contract and managing customer expectations.
  • Develop and implement overall strategy for project execution based on contract.
  • Represent GE to customer; control and manage customer interface and relationship and manage internal and external communication.
  • Set up and secure necessary resources; organize project team with clear roles, responsibilities, and interfaces.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs); take immediate actions and decisions to guarantee financial, time, quality and safety performance.
  • Establish, implement and monitor Project Quality Plan, Procedures, and EHS Plan to ensure compliance and cost efficiency.
  • Define and execute claim management strategy and lead necessary actions regarding claims.
  • Define Risk Management Plan; update and review risks and opportunities and determine actions.
  • Assume full responsibility from Hand-Over from Sales until all obligations completed at FAC and/or Hand Over to Service Sector.
  • Provide feedback to Sales and other Business Functions on project performance and processes.
  • Build, lead and coach project team; define project goals and provide performance evaluation and development plans.
  • Develop and monitor Master Time Schedule and manage project float to ensure timely completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant Power industry experience
  • Minimum of 3 years Project Management experience, including project execution, construction and onsite experience
  • US Government experience (desired)
  • Prior experience in the Hydro Power industry is highly preferred
  • Prior experience with contract law, claim management, scheduling
  • Prior experience working cross-functionally in a highly matrixed environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen (as applicable)
